Almiral’s Personal Chef

• Relax and use our personal chef, Gillian Wylie, to cook some – or all(!) – of your meals at the villa. She knows the best local suppliers of cured hams and cheeses and other gourmet artesan products and can get the highest quality meat in the area and the freshest locally caught fish. She will advise you on what’s looking good at the market and on a day-to-day basis you can plan delicious menus using seasonal produce. Let her take your taste buds on a culinary tour of Catalan and Spanish specialities – or if you want to change it, she is very flexible as her cooking repertoire encompasses French, Italian, Southern Mediterranean, Thai, Indian, Mexican…
• Before working with us at Almiral, Gillian was UK Masterchef quarter-finalist two years running (2006 & 2007) and has recipes published in Good Food Magazine and The MasterChef Cookbook. She has cooked for some well-known celebrities and has been location chef and food consultant for TV production companies.
• Gillian charges a cooking fee per meal, (depending on the number of courses, complexity etc.) then charges for the ingredients at cost price. Please book her as far in advance as possible to ensure availability – ideally when you book the property. Good food cooked well and served to you during your stay can make all the difference – we recommend this option to all our guests.
